In this project, carbon fiber fabric is used to reinforce structures that have deteriorated due to age, or that have been damaged by an earthquake, carbon fiber reinforcement is especially superior due to the strong and lightweight properties of FRP sheet constituent materials.
Specifically, adhesive resin is used to glue carbon fiber fabric, in a wrap-around fashion, to the concrete surfaces of existing reinforced-concrete structures. In this way, the durability of structural members is increased, and the ductility of these members are improved.
